What She Says
Saturday, 28 August 2010
I've been wondering how many words can Kika say and I counted quite a few:

Interesting Links
Wednesday, 25 August 2010
All quiet here on Eastern Coast. We've waved our two travellers goodbye yesterday and sent them off to Wyoming (I hope they'll survive - they've had a theoretical preparation...). And so I finally caught up with some reading. Here's the interesting stuff:

Thursday, 19 August 2010

Ready to eat This recipe is something I've been wanting to try for a while and since there was a comment wish for some pasta couple days ago, I took it as a sign. Cool

Nothing But Mischief
Tuesday, 17 August 2010

Presumed innocent? This smile exactly shows the mischief with which Kika was examining the contents of her potty few days ago while I was taking my shower (at least she didn't crawl away with those brown hands!) or the joy with which she regularly checks what's new in our paper recycle (and always finds something worthy of taking out and adding to her toys).

At the same time, I think that publishing this photo definitively answers the cutest kid question (and you can also see her little first chin bruise from yesterday).

Island Pond (Harriman State Park)
Sunday, 15 August 2010
Iva and Kika by the lake This Saturday caught us on the trail again. This time we went to a place recommended by my classmate Alex in the Harriman State Park (right next to the Bear Mountain Park where we went last weekend). And we didn't go alone.

You know iTunes, right? (Just as an aside for my Grandma, who reads here but most likely doesn't know, iTunes is a program that stores and sorts all the music you have in your computer. With it it's easy to find what you want, you don't have to name the songs correctly with their proper title and interpret and genre and... iTunes takes care of it all.)

And now those of you who are in academia and those of you who aren't but who still read scientific articles, tell me how you store them? Because, I admit, my system wasn't too great (and I don't have many articles yet) - I tried to name them reasonably and save them in reasonable folders in hope that one day when I need them, I will "reasonably" find them. But wouldn't it be great if it could work the way iTunes does?
