It might seem that I'm obsessed with bread. Here and here are my attempts at homemade traditional bread, here is a Tahitian coconut bread, langoše and patentky (ok, langoše and patentky are not exactly breads, but they're members of the same family). The truth is that this is my natural love multiplied by the fact that you can't buy good bread around here. Well, to be honest, there is the Amy's Bakery in Hell's Kitchen, where they sell true bread (pun intended) but it's so sinfully expensive that our conscience does not let us buy it too often.
On the other hand, in US we can buy things we didn't even know existed while we lived in Slovakia. One of them is the Indian naan bread and since that one is not cheap either, I've made some attempts at home. The outcome of the first one was edible but not too great (recipe from a local paper) but after some minor revisions, I ended up with a good naan.So here it comes:

It seems it has worked again. And again, I don't know to which extent ithis is the result of fighting at other fronts and to which of this post (but I think this time the ratio was significantly different than when we were dealing with the bank). What's important, our money's back - as of today. It's not the exact sum they took (few cents less due to sightly different exchange rate) but that's ok. Now we're done with Alamo for good.

This is a family recipe that has evolved from the "French potatoes" recipe (no, not french fries and yes, I doubt it has anything to do with France) and can be done in several variations.
